Transfer Information
MCC's Engineering Science program is the first two years of a four or five-year program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree.
The Engineering Science program provides essentially the same educational experience during the first two years as that of four-year institutions, and is designed to provide maximum opportunities for transfer into New York State's baccalaureate engineering programs with junior level status.
2 + 2 Colleges and Universities
MCC has 2+2 Transfer Pathway Guides with several colleges and universities.
You earn an Associate's Degree at MCC and are guaranteed transfer with full junior-year status to one of the participating colleges. Applicants to 2+2 programs must present strong records of academic achievement including:
- 4 years of English
- 3 years of Social Studies
- 3-4 years of college preparatory Mathematics
- 2 years of Science
Students who do not have the math or science to enter Engineering right away can choose the Extended Option Program in Engineering. In this program, students are advised by Engineering faculty and interact with other students in the Engineering program while taking the courses they need to enter the A.S. in Engineering program.
